Pastoral Plan

Vision

Through worship, spiritual formation, fellowship and service, we invite everyone to know and love Jesus Christ.  We welcome all, striving for the diversity that reflects the fullness of the Body of Christ.  As Mary, Queen of Peace Parish, we work toward unity and justice and seek to form disciples of all.

Goals

I. Worship (to be accomplished by 12/31/2023)

• Increase ministerial engagement by 10% of parishioners who are not currently involved in liturgical roles.
• Develop and celebrate (implement) at least 2 creative and diverse experiences of worship and prayer.
• Facilitate an increase in understanding of and devotion to the real presence of Christ in the consecrated bread and wine and the baptized Body of Christ, measured by fuller participation in the Mass, and a deeper commitment to community building around social justice (participation of at least 50 people).

II. Unity (to be accomplished by 12/31/2023)

• Strengthen our parish unity through exercising servant discipleship by implementing 1-2 parish-wide projects focusing on the poor and vulnerable, through education and action.  (Food insecurity will be the focus).
• By 12-31-23, offer one continued Synodal Listening session, event and/or education offering on selected topics:  women’s role in the church, deaf community, or liturgy engagement.

III. New and Diverse (to be accomplished by 12/31/2023

• Initiate the Evangelization Project in partnership with Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI) by January 25, 2023, develop the vision and begin implementing the Evangelization Strategic Plan by October 31, 2023.

IV. Growth (to be accomplished by 12/31/2024)

• Finalize and execute the Building Fundraising Campaign Plan and raise $1.5M.
• Manage, monitor and modify the Facilities Project Plan, to deliver on-time results within budget and scope for each specific project within the Plan.
