With the help of God we have a vision of a vibrant and inclusive community of discipleship base on sacred promises in of our Parish Community Covenant.
What is this Community Covenant anyway!? In our everyday world we use the word covenant to describe a usually, formal, solemn, and binding agreement. Covenant holds more weight than the word contract. It implies a promise that is often rooted in relationship.
To help us to be more aware of our relationship with Christ and the parish, the Pastoral Council has gathered the wisdom from, scripture, books on discipleship in todays world, and listening to parishioners. They have drawn together those thoughts in a covenant for our parish. This covenant is a document that expresses the relationship between the community, and a single member of the parish from both sides. It is a vision of what it looks like to be a disciple, as well as a vision of a vibrant and inclusive parish community. Our Community Covenant has six sections: We Pray, We Invite, We Serve, We Nurture, We Go Forth, and We Embrace.
